Important Note for 2025 Season
This year, there is a $50.00 fee added to the price of the Minors division. Once a family member of a player works 5 shifts in the concession stand, that $50.00 will be refunded.
Minors Division Description
The Minors Division is designed for players typically ages 8–10 who are ready to build upon the fundamentals learned in earlier divisions. This level introduces more advanced skills, game strategies, and competitive elements while maintaining a strong focus on player development and enjoyment.
Game Play: Minors play traditional baseball rules with some modifications to encourage learning. Players pitch to opposing batters, outs are recorded, and score is kept. Games are structured to give players real-game experiences while ensuring fair play and equal opportunities to participate.
Skill Development: Players work on improving hitting against live pitching, fielding grounders and fly balls, base running, pitching mechanics, and situational awareness.
Season Goals: By the end of the season, players should demonstrate improved confidence, greater understanding of game strategy, and the ability to work as part of a team in a more competitive setting.
Coaching Style: Coaches emphasize instruction, sportsmanship, and teamwork. While competition increases, the focus remains on learning and preparing players for the transition to higher levels of play.
Commitment: Teams typically have multiple practices and games each week, giving players a consistent opportunity to grow and develop in a structured, supportive environment.
The Minors Division provides an exciting step forward, offering players the chance to test their skills, grow their love of the game, and prepare for more advanced play in future divisions.
