How do I know what division to sign my son/daughter up for?

The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child on December 31 of the previous year. You can also use the league age calculator.
** Please note - MLL determines division ages using Little League guidelines.  Our local league reserves the right to be flexible and make adjustments as needed on an individual player basis. **


What if my child is older than 12?

We are hopeful we will have enough players to have at least one juniors team again this season! Spread the word!

When will games and practices be held?

Your player will either practice or play on  Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. At the coach’s discretion extra practices may be scheduled.

What kind of uniform will my player receive?

Baseball players will receive a team jersey and a Milan Little League hat. Softball players will receive a team jersey and socks to match. The cost for these is covered in the registration.

What equipment will my player need?

Each local league is required to provide basic equipment necessary for its regular season teams. This includes bats, balls, catcher’s equipment, and batting helmets.  While helmets and bats are provided you may purchase your player their own. All equipment must meet Little League regulations (baseball bat guidelines and softball bat guidelines) Additonal equipment is listed below.
  • Baseball/softball pants

  • Socks (color to be decided by team coach)

  • Rubber-soled cleats

  • Fielder glove

  • Backpack or equipment bag (optional)

  • Face mask (softball)

Is there financial aid available to help pay for fees or equipment?

YES!! Please contact Carrie Ritchie at [email protected] or call her at 734-320-1795 if you need financial assistance. We do not want any child missing out!

What if I want to pay with cash or check? 

Online registration will only allow you to pay with credit card however, if you would rather by cash or check please email MLL at [email protected] or attend one of our walk-in registrations.

How long will the season run?
Practices will start beginning/mid April. Games will begin in May and the season will run through the end of June.


How do I sign up to volunteer?
There are a couple of different ways you can sign up to volunteer. One way is when you are registering your player there is an option for you to sign up to volunteer. Another way is to fill out this form (coming soon). Either way is fine you do not have to sign up both ways. Once you sign up to register MLL will send you a link to fill out a background check. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO VOLUNTEER WITHOUT GETTING A BACKGROUND CHECK.
