Trailblazers FC is a competitive homeschool soccer club based in Greenfield, Indiana, who serves Hancock County and the surrounding areas. We believe competitive soccer requires training and discipline, pushing players to test their physical, mental, and emotional limits. We view the soccer field as a unique venue for uncovering our responses to such tests and then shaping them in ways that honor God, edify our teammates, and reflect good stewardship of the time and talents given to each of us.
East Indy Trailblazers was founded in 2008 by Mark Lehman. He wanted a place for his daughter to be able to play soccer at a high school level without compromising her home school education experience. Her passion for the game resulted in a call to the local home school community and a team was formed. It was a rough start, with only half of the students having previous soccer experience, but with the the help of the experienced players and the dedication of coach Lehman, homeschool varsity soccer arrived in the Hancock/eastern Marion county area.
Since then, the East Indy Trailblazers has continued to provide a place for homeschooled families to not only play soccer, but a place to develop the following virtues, which have become the pillars of our club.
1. Promoting and developing Christian character2. Teaching self-discipline, leadership and teamwork
3. Equipping homeschool students with lifelong skills for health and fitness
4. Providing opportunities and guidance for winning and losing with grace
5. Offering competitive soccer training and matches without compromising previous goals
In 2023, the club was renamed Trailblazers FC and became a non-for-profit organization, in hopes that we could provide more opportunities in continuing to fulfill the clubs original mission: PROMOTING CHRISTIAN CHARACTER THROUGH COMPETITIVE SOCCER
The Trailblazers are honored to have won several state championships, one national championship, several top three finishes, along with many sportsmanship awards. But more than titles and trophies, we are extremely proud of the culture of sportsmanship and lifelong relationships that are fostered within our soccer family.
