Program Descriptions

Cheer: Open to those entering Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Must be age 5 by June 30.  League Focus:  Promote teamwork, cooperation, and a mix of ages for each of the teams. Chants, dance moves, and cheer drills are taught with an emphasis on safety, physical education, and conditioning. This year, the uniform will consist of a shell top, skirt, lollies,  pom poms, and bow.  Our suggestion is to size up from your regular size to account for growth, cold weather layers and movement. You will be responsible for a sneaker, choice of shorts/pants, and water bottle.  Practice will be during the week on multiple nights and at games on Saturdays. There is possible travel to competitor fields.  Please note that we will be organizing cheer teams by grade level between the two tackle football divisions, in an effort to maintain similar skill levels. As a result, there is no guarantee that siblings will be on the same team.

Flag I: Open to Pre – K and Kindergarten only for the upcoming school year. Must be age 4 by June 30, 2022.  League Focus for this group is a reinforced very basic introduction to football.  Plays and position development as well as working on teamwork skills and rule knowledge.  The league provides jersey and flag belts.  You will be responsible for a mouthpiece, sneakers/cleats, and water bottle.  Practice will be one night a week and games on Tuesdays.

Flag II: Open to 1st and 2nd grade only for the upcoming school years. League Focus for this group is a reinforced introduction to football.  Plays and position development as well as working on teamwork skills and rule knowledge.  The league provides jersey and flags.  You will be responsible for a mouthpiece, sneakers/cleats, and water bottle.  Practice will be multiple nights and games could possibly be on a weeknight and Saturday.   There could be possible travel to competitor fields.

Instructional Tackle: Open to 3rd graders only for the upcoming school year.  League Focus for this group is an introduction to tackle football.   This division begins to teach players the basics of tackling, blocking, formations, positions, and play calling. Strong emphasis on safety is the focus of this division as players are taught the correct techniques required for levels of contact for tackling and blocking. Build on teamwork skills and rule knowledge. League provides jersey, shoulder pads, a helmet with a chin strap.  The equipment is returned at the end of the season and the jersey is yours to keep.   You will need to provide cleats, a mouthpiece, white football pants, and a water bottle. Practice will be multiple nights during the week and games on Saturday.  There will likely be travel to competitor fields.

Division I: Open to 4th and 5th graders for the upcoming school year.  League Focus for this group is a basic introduction to full-contact football.  Focus on teaching good techniques for blocking and tackling, more advanced learning of playbook, the teaching of positional specifics/techniques.  Build on teamwork skills and rule knowledge.  League provides jersey, shoulder pads, a helmet with a chin strap.  The equipment is returned at the end of the season and the jersey is yours to keep.   You will need to provide cleats, a mouthpiece, white football pants, and a water bottle.  Practice will be multiple nights during the week and games on Saturday.  There will likely be travel to competitor fields.

Division II: Open to 6th graders for the upcoming school year.  League Focus:  Instruction of more advanced concepts of full-contact football, advanced defensive and offensive formations, and techniques.  Focus on advanced techniques for blocking and tackling, more advanced teaching positional specifics/techniques, the highest level of teamwork skills, and rule knowledge.  Preparation for middle school football.  League provides jersey, shoulder pads, a helmet with a chin strap.  The equipment is returned at the end of the season and the jersey is yours to keep.   You will need to provide cleats, a mouthpiece, white football pants, and a water bottle. Practice will be multiple nights during the week and games on Saturday.  There will likely be travel to competitor fields.
