Register now for Spring!

The groundhog has spoken and it seems early spring is on the horizon. Registration for Spring closes on March 11th! Don't wait until last minute to register or you may lose your chance. Little League has strict deadlines for Districts to submit team information and individual leagues like HAMR have their own deadlines in order to select coaches, run background checks and provide required certification courses like First Aid, as well as divide teams and order uniforms. If players are not registered on time, this affects whether players will be eligible for Tournament play (All Stars). It can make the difference between dividing a group of players into 2 teams that allow for more field time per player, or, one large team that means players much rotate playing time.

We realize in todays world there are many sports opportunities for children and we appreciate the commitment that our families and players have made to play with HAMR. While there are limitations at the High School level for players to only play for the school during that season, there are no limitations to those players involved with middle school or travel programs. Players are encouraged to continue to play for their town leagues such as HAMR as long as they are age eligible. More time on the field means more practice for critical skills! Players who cross between multiple teams will benefit from different coaching styles and will bring back more skills to share with their team. If you have a child who plays for a travel program (or is involved in multiple sports) you may choose to volunteer your time as a coach and this can allow some flexibility in creating your schedule. You are also encouraged to let your HAMR coaches know what your travel schedule or middle school schedule is like so we can try to avoid overlapping games.

Several families inquired about our Fall Ball program long after registration had closed and uniforms had been ordered, and unfortunately we had to turn them away. Please keep this in mind when planning for Spring and we look forward to seeing you all out on the field!
