HAMR T-Ball is for all girls grades PK-1 who are interested in learning about the game of softball. Through small group instruction, they will begin to learn the foundations of throwing, catching, and hitting off a tee with the goal of having older players hit a live pitch at the end of the season as they progress and prepare to move up to Rookies. Every player will be met at the level they are at and will progress at their own pace while supporting one another as a team. Practices are fast paced with lots of movement and games will be held once a week.

Rookies is for all girls grades 1-3 who have moved up from our T-Ball program and are ready to begin playing games with coach pitch. Players who are in 3^rd grade and have not played softball before can play at the Rookies level to gain confidence on the field before moving to Minors. Our Rookies teams are also kept small to allow for more individual focus as well as playing time and learning how to play in each position. We continue to work on our foundational skills while also introducing concepts like hitting a live pitch and situational awareness of how to throw a runner out at any base. Players are encouraged to try catching as the equipment can take some getting used to. We also encourage our older girls to begin learning the basics of pitching so that they are prepared for the move to Minors. Practices will be held 1-2 days a week with one game a week to put those new skills to the test.

Minors is for all girls grades 3-5. Any player in 6^th grade or league aged 12, is welcome to play at the Minors level with a parent waiver if this is their first time playing, or, the parent feels it is in their best interest to play at a slower pace than Majors. In this division, players continue to work on foundational skills they have learned in earlier programs. They will learn more details about each position and the importance it plays in the game and we also introduce stealing. Players will begin to use the pitching machine in practices to work on bat speed and accuracy. All players are encouraged to practice skills at home, particularly pitchers and catchers who become a key part of the game. Minors players may also be eligible for tournament teams that compete within our district for the District 11 Championship, and beyond. Practices will be held twice a week with a minimum of 12 games.

Majors is for all girls grades 6-7 who are ready for a fast paced game that will begin to prepare them for playing at the Middle school level or beyond. We continue to keep foundational skills at our core development. Players are challenged on the field and will begin to specialize in positions. There is a focus on team building and camaraderie as they grow with one another and push one another to play at a higher level. Pitching and catching become more specialized and it is expected that pitchers practice daily on their own to maintain a high level of skill as we will now be facing pitchers with speeds in excess of 40 mph. Players may also be eligible for tournament teams that compete within our district for the District 11 Championship, and beyond. Practices will be held twice a week with a minimum of 12 games.
