Jackson Youth Softball Association

About us:

The (JYSA) seeks to provide instruction, development, and enhancement of softball skills throughout the off-season, with the ultimate aim of creating a year-round training program to prepare athletes for the regular season and to introduce high-level fast-pitch softball to the city of Jackson and its neighboring areas in Hinds County.

We are actively engaged in fostering a healthy, safe, and Christian environment through the sport of softball for the adolescent community in the inner city of Jackson, Mississippi. Our objectives encompass promoting physical fitness and fostering communal unity for recreational and entertainment purposes. (JYSA) operates as a non-profit recreational organization originating in Jackson, MS, focused on involving inner-city youth in fast-pitch softball.

It has been more than two decades since the youth of inner Jackson had the opportunity to participate in an organized competitive fast-pitch league. Our focus on this popular sport serves as a platform to introduce Christian values, forge community connections, and boost involvement among African American girls.

Emphasizing young females aged 4-17, our program targets the underserved, black and brown community, extending a warm invitation to all residents of Jackson and Hinds County to partake. Through our initiatives, we aspire to ensure equal opportunities for all.
