LEAGUE DETAILS BASEBALL:
1. T-BALL: AGES 5-6 (CO-ED)

Description: Tee Ball is a non-competitive program focused on fun, fitness, and fundamentals where players ages 5–6 are first introduced to the basic's baseball and softball. Addison Park District Little League strives to provide a Tee Ball experience focused on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a fun environment while incorporating a high level of physical activity.

A hat and team shirt are provided by the league. Players will need to bring their own glove, but helmets and bats are optional (and are otherwise shared/provided by the league during the game).

2. ROOKIE: AGES 7-8 (CO-ED)
Description: The CO-ED Rookie Division is a developmental league with coach pitch. Score is kept but records are not. A coach pitches to the hitters and they get 5 swings to put the ball in play, if not they are out. The inning ends when a team gets 3 outs or scores 5 runs. Games are scheduled for five innings. Players will play all positions over the course of the season. The Rookie Division is a great introduction to the game of Baseball, the players will learn the flow of game and all of the fundamentals.

A hat and team shirt are provided by the league. Players will need to bring their own glove, but helmets and bats are optional (and are otherwise shared/provided by the league during the game).

3. MINORS: AGES 9-10 (CO-ED)
Description: The CO-ED Minors Division is a competitive league with kid pitch being introduced. Both score and team records are tracked throughout the season. During the first four games of the regular season, walks will not be recorded to promote pitcher development. If a “walk” occurs, a team coach will enter the game and pitch to the batter. The batter will then have three swings or five pitches from the coach to put the ball in play. Pitchers are allowed up to two innings per game with pitch counts being monitored for game-to-game usage control.

Managers are strongly encouraged to rotate their players between the infield and outfield to promote development.

A hat and team shirt are provided by the league. Players will need to bring their own glove, but helmets and bats are optional (and are otherwise shared/provided by the league during the game).

*See Age Chart below to determine "League Age." The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year.

2025 Softball Season

Addison Little League Softball Program

NOTE: Leagues in our district have residency requirements for field usage with local municipalities that restrict the number of players we can accept outside the original Addison boundaries (non-residents that do not have children in Addison schools). To ensure all leagues in District 10 meet those requirements and have a successful community-based season that remains fun and competitive, all families from outside our original district boundaries (excluding school waiver submissions) will be waitlisted and notified of their status by March 1st, 2025

There are 5 softball divisions offered by Addison Little League. These divisions are age-specific. The League Age for any softball division is the age your player is/will be as of December 31st, 2024. You can also determine your child's league age using the Little League online age calculator.

MINOR – COACH PITCH – ages 7-8

MINOR – PLAYER PITCH – ages 7-8

MAJOR – PLAYER PITCH - ages 9-10

JUNIORS – PLAYER PITCH - ages 11-12

SENIORS- PLAYER PITCH- ages 13-14

TBall is a coed division offered under our baseball program. Please register your child for the 2025 Baseball Season to sign up for TBall.
