Overview of Rules for Major Division
All Fielders will need to wear face masks
To be Eligible for all stars players will need to complete 12 Regulation Games

Double first Base

Runner's first attempt to get to fist can touch either color
After Runner has to use the white portion of the Base

Size of Softball
12 Inches
No Metal Cleats
No Jewelry 
Catchers must have a throat guard
Line ups
All Players will bat in a Continuous Line - up 
Make sure they bat in the same order every time around
Players must Be on the Field(Defense) for 6 Consecutive outs.  
Make your Subs between Innings 
Notify the umpire and other team whey you make a substitution 
Live Ball
The Ball is always live unless it goes foul or Umpire Calls a time out
If Ball slips from the pitchers hand it is a live ball
Ball 4 is still a live ball.  
Regulation Game
Is 6 Innings unless the umpire calls the game for Dark or Mercy Rule
Mercy Rule
3 innings if a team is up by 15 or more runs
4 innings if a team is up by 10 or more runs
5 innings if a team is up by 8 or more runs
Innings Over
After 3 outs
Drop 3rd Strike Rule is legal
If less than 2 outs and first base is unoccupied the batter may advance if the catcher drops the 3rd strike
If there are 2 outs the batter can run to first base if it is occupied.  In this scenario the runner on first needs to advance
Bunting
If ball goes foul with 2 strikes Batter will be called out
Base Running
Running to Fist
Run Through first and into foul territory if it is a close play to first base
Runners should round first base and start to head to second if not a close play
Stay in Base Line - Within 3 Feet
Touch Each Base
No Head First Sliding
Make sure Base runners know how many outs.  If 2 outs teach them to run on any hit
If the batter has a base runner on Third Base and the batter gets walked. 
You are allowed to send that batter to second base as long as they do not stop at first. 
Even if the pitcher is in the circle with the ball.  
Stealing
Players can steal at this level
Players may not leave the bag if the pitcher has the ball and is in the pitching Circle
Players may not leave the bag until the ball leaves the pitchers hand
Leads
Teach girls how to take big leads off of bases
Girls may not leave the bag until the Ball leaves the pitchers hand
Pitching
Mound distance is 40 Feet measured from the rear point of home plate
Can only separate the glove and the ball 1 time when delivering a pitch
Only 1 windmill motion
Ball has to be thrown under the hip
