Players/Parents Code Of Conduct
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
• Try your best. You don’t have to be the best but you should be putting in your best efforts during practice and games.
• Follow and play by the NFL Flag rules.
• Be a good sport. Sportsmanship is more important than a championship.
• Never argue with a sports official. If you have a disagreement speak to your coach, the league Coordinator or the league President and we will discuss and resolve the issue.
• Cooperate with your coach, team-mates and opponents.
• Respect the rights of all participants regardless of their age, gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
• Verbal, physical or emotional abuse with never be tolerated from anyone participating or spectating. If you witness any form of abuse you should notify your coach and a league official immediately.
• We have a ZERO tolerance policy for all forms of bullying.
PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT
• Do your best to ensure that your child is attending practices and games and arrives at the time requested by the coach and/or league.
• Encourage kids to participate; do not force them.
• Remember that kids learn best by watching great role models.
• Always encourage kids to play according to the rules and to follow the code of conduct.
• Never make negative comments to a child for making a mistake or losing.
• Verbal, physical or emotional abuse with never be tolerated from anyone participating or spectating. Per the Senate Bill 534, known as the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017, as a parent you a mandated reporter and any form of abuse must be immediately reported to the police as well as the league. It is now a federal crime to “mind your own business” in matters of any child abuse or neglect.
• Always respect the official’s decisions and teach kids to do the same. If you disagree with an official’s decision you can contact the league Coordinator or the league President to discuss and resolve.
• Respect the rights of all participants regardless of their age, gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
