Welcome to Hanover Jr. Wildcats Poms Dance!
Hanover Jr. Wildcats is a Pop Warner local association in the Northern Indiana League within the Mid-America Region. HJW Cheer is a Youth Rec Dance program that performs at both Sideline and at all League and Regional Competitions.
Poms is available for ages 5-13 at each level. Tiny Mites through Jr. Varsity. Practices will follow the same number of days and hours as football. Dance programs begin outdoors and move to indoor practices Mid to Late September. The schedule will be set prior to the start of the season and will have minimal changes.
First 2 weeks - Conditioning 4 days/week
Mid Aug - Labor Day 4 days/week
After Labor Day - 3 days/week
Our teams will travel within the Northern Indiana League area. Our Pom teams will only perform at home games that are played at Hanover Central fields. If Poms teams do not have a Competition on any home game day, they will perform at the game.

Choosing a Team for Your Child
There are NO TRYOUTS. The Jr. Wildcat Dance team is age grouped based on age AS OF AUGUST 1. Teams are created based on enrollment. Register your child based not your best thought of placement and we will adjust if needed.
HJW Pom Dance Teams:
Tiny Mites - Ages 5-7
Mitey Mites - Ages 7-9
Jr. PeeWee - Ages 8-11
PeeWee - Ages 9-12
Jr. Varsity - Ages 11-13
Online Registration Process
Give yourself approximately 5-10 minutes to complete the online registration.
Items REQUIRED to be uploaded to COMPLETE Registration
- A clear photo of your child's head and shoulders
- The date of your child's last Tetnus Shot
Be sure to attend an In-Person Registration for SIZING. Orders for uniforms will be placed no later than mid June.
Other REQUIRED documents to upload - DUE DATE: JULY 1
- Your child's birth certificate
- Your child's 2022-2023 Full Report Card (ask your school for a copy before the end of the school year)
You will be asked to hand in a physical for your child at check-in to the June Summer Camp. Dates for the June and July Summer camps are TBD.
PARENT PARTICIPATION
The entire HJW program runs on Volunteers, including the Board Members. At least 1 adult in the family is required to volunteer for the family. This may be as a coach. It's not limited to that... It may be on the Chain Gang on any given Sunday or in the concessions. Options are provided within the online registration process. If you do not choose an area you prefer, HJW will follow up with you to schedule you.
