The mission of CWSA is to provide quality, enjoyable soccer opportunities for the youth of our communities. The purpose of the organization shall be the regulation, control, promotion, and development of youth soccer in the towns of Columbia and Windham. The program is open to any Columbia or Windham youth meeting the requirements of residency and age, regardless of gender, race, or financial status. Players not from Columbia or Windham may register, providing their town or club does not have a team entered in the CJSA Northeast District at that age level and season. Avenues of participation will be provided at various skill levels in order to meet the needs of the players. Competitive team tryouts are held each May/June for the following fall and spring seasons. Rec teams typically practice 1-2x/week and have games on Saturdays, sometimes Sundays. Comp teams typically practice 2x/week and have games on Sundays, sometimes Saturdays. All teams travel to towns such as: Hebron, Coventry, NeConn (Woodstock/Putnam), QVSA (Canterbury), Vernon, Ellington, Lebanon. 1/2 of a team's games are home and 1/2 are away. What's required at every practice? Cleats Shin guards Size 4 ball (U8-U10) Size5 ball (U12-U15) Water bottle REGISTRATION: Register on line. Cost: $75 + Uniform: $25 (includes jersey, shorts, socks) If registering late, you will incur a $10 late fee. Uniforms are non-returnable. Refunds for registration fees will be considered on a case to case basis. (minus a $20 administrative fee) |
*Parents must remain on the premises during practice. Exceptions can be made for 7th grade and up.
