Welcome

WELCOME COACHES!

We are honored to have you as in integral part of our Flag Football Program.  This is an exciting time as we ready ourselves to nurture our children and our NSA community.  Our #1 focus is for our children to have a positive and fun experience.  If they learn a little about the game of football and have some healthy competition, we look at that as a bonus.

We want to ensure that EVERY child has ample opportunity to participate, get touches on the football, and feel included on a team.  We are building the foundation for an appreciation and value of participating in a team sport.

Where to start?

Where to start?

Consider beginning your 1st practice by throwing and catching the ball.  Identify who could be a possible quarterback - who has an accurate throw?  Next, introduce the "yard" measurement.  Most kids will not know how long a yard is - you'll need to teach them this before you ask them to run a 5-yard slant route.  And finally, you'll want to teach the routes you plan to use.  Now your offence is ready.  For defense practice, start with a flag pulling drill.
