Adaptive Baseball

Do you know someone who loves baseball but needs a bit of assistance to participate.

The Little League Challenger Division® was founded in 1989, and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.

Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4 to 18; or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.

Welcome to Spring 2024 Registration!

Registration for Upper Division (Double A and Above, ages 8-13) and above closes on December 17th.

If you would like to apply for a scholarship to cover part or all of the registration fees, please fill out an application here.

** New this year!! ** We will allow registration by Division; THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE - Double A and above will be selected via a draft. If your child is eligible for multiple divisions, please only register for one.

Registration fees for all Baseball divisions $285
T-Ball rate is $185 - for players 4 and 5 years old or 6 year olds without prior experience
Challenger Division is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. $35
Upper Division (ages 8-13) attend a tryout in January and teams are generally formed in January with practices starting in February.
Lower Division (ages 4-8) teams are generally formed in February.

Divisions of Play

The following is the general guidance of which divisions certain ages tend to play at with adjustments possible based on experience. Please review the Little League 2024 Age Chart to determine your League Age and appropriate division.

T-Ball - players 4 and 5 years old
Rookie - also called Coach Pitch, players 6 and 7
Single A - also called Machine Pitch, players 7 and 8
Double A - also called Kid Pitch, players 8 and 9
Triple A - players 10 and 11
Majors - players 11 and 12
Intermediate - players 12 and 13, plays on the bigger 50/70 diamond at Riddle.
Juniors - players 14 years old
Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4 to 18; or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.
