OLS CYO Concession/Admission FAQ's

Important House Rule: Referees eat and drink for free - no charge for anything they get at concessions, for obvious reasons ;)

Why are there two families per game?
One family will sit at the admissions table in the cafeteria where visitors enter, and one family will work behind the counter in the cafeteria selling concessions. It doesn't matter who does what - the two families can decide for each game.

How early should I get to the game for my concession/admissions assignment?
Get there 30 minutes early, that way you can get a proper hand-off from the family that's assigned to the game before you. If you are the first game of the day, then it's definitely important to get there early as the opposing team will start arriving 30 minutes before.

Do I have to bring supplies for concessions at games?
No, the Men's Club buys supplies from Costco during the week (candy, chips, Gatorades), all you need to do is show up and charge the advertised price.

How come I am assigned twice during the season?
We assign two families per game, usually alphabetically, to run concessions/admission; if a roster is small enough then some families will be selected at random to work a 2nd game, as each team will have 6 home games. It's purely random, we usually give the benefit of the doubt to coaches’ families and don't double them up, so it just means you lost a coin toss.

How will I know the price of the food/drink?
There is a sign in the cafeteria that we will leave out every weekend showing how much each item is. Same goes for admissions.

At the admissions entrance, do I charge OLS families?
No, once an OLS parent pays registration for their child to participate in CYO, that is their immediate family's pass to attend all home games for free - just say you're with OLS and that gets you through the door.

If I have older kids, can they take my place running concessions or admissions?
Yes, any older sibling is more than welcome to take the place of their parent at concessions or admissions.
