KNLL Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in registration?

Your player's jersey, hat and belt are included. Pant colors are at the discretion of the coach, and will not be provided by the league. Registration fees also help cover umpire fees, field maintenance and other costs associated with running the league.

How are teams formed?
Tball teams are formed based on requests and player geography. All other divisions have a skills evaluation (try out) followed by a player draft. This is done in an effort to keep teams balanced and in an attempt to allow all teams to be competitive. All registered players will be assigned to a team regardless of abilities or skill levels.

When is practice?

Practice times and locations are at the discretion of your coach. Teams can only meet 3 times per week, including games.

When are games?

Games are played Monday thru Saturday throughout the season. We don't schedule games on holidays, or during Spring Break. Weeknight games can start as early as 5:30pom and the older divisions could play up until 9:45pm. The park closes at 10pm, so all games should be finished in time for everyone to exit the park by closing time. Saturday games could start as early as 8 am and will be played throughout the day. Game days and times are dependent upon the number of teams in each division.

How many games are played?
Teams will play 10-12 regular season games, typically 2 games per week. CP 7/8, Minors, and Intermediate divisions will have a post season tournament at the end of every Spring season.

Yes! Under the USABat Standard, certified tee ball bats will feature the USA Baseball mark and text which reads ONLY FOR USE WITH APPROVED TEE BALLS.

Does USABat have a barrel diameter limit?

USABats approved bats are certified with barrel diameters of 2-5/8" and less. Approved bats feature a variety of barrel diameters including 2-5/8", 2-1/2", 2-3/8", 2-1/4", and 2". As long as a bat features the USA Baseball mark and appears on the approved bat list, it is approved for play regardless of barrel diameter.

All certified bats that feature the USA Baseball mark and appear on the approved bat list are approved for play in leagues that require USABats regardless of weight or drop wieght. Any bats listed as tee ball bats are only approved for use with approved tee balls.
