Football Program MissionThe objective and general purpose of the Hobart Pop Warner Football Program is to promote a positive atmosphere conducive to establishing a genuine interest and knowledge of competitive sport for all participants. It is dedicated to enhancing the development of better citizens, the character, and the teaching of all individuals and development of a respect for all facets of the contest. To encourage a high level of integrity and promote good sportsmanship, all of which lead to a winning attitude. Exceptional athletic ability or the winning of games is secondary, and the welfare of the youths participating is of prime importance.
Spring Flag Season
Game Schedule and Playoff
Flag Football teams have a 6-game regular season schedule that starts the first Sunday of April and lasts until May 18th. All games are on Sunday. All games are played at the Brickie bowl located at 705 E Fourth St. Hobart Indiana 46342. There will be a Playoff Tournament on the last Sunday of the season each team will play multiple games that day.
Registration
Registration opens in January. Registration costs for each participant include (1) Game Jersey, a pair of shorts, a pair of flags, and (1) mouthpiece.
Fall Tackle Season
Game Schedule and Playoff
Football teams have an 8-game regular season schedule that starts the last weekend in August or the first weekend in September with at least 3 home games. Away games can be anywhere from 30-45 minutes of driving distance from Hobart depending on our opponent for that week. All HOME games are played at Hobart Pop Warner Home Field, 2557 W Old Ridge Rd. Being the softball fields at Hillman Park. Playoffs are only for those teams who make top 4 in their respective brackets.
Registration
Registration opens in March. Registration costs for each participant include Football helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants, game pants, (1) Game Jersey reversible. Postseason game fees are also covered. Travel expenses for out of state playoff games and tournaments are the responsibility of the traveling families.
