PRESIDENT - CHAD LUCE
VICE PRESIDENT - ASHLEY SOPCZYNSKI
I have proudly been involved with Flushing Youth Tackle and Cheer for the past five years, supporting a program that plays an important role in developing young athletes both on and off the field. As a parent of two boys who progressed through the organization and have since moved on to middle school and high school athletics, I have seen firsthand the lasting impact youth sports can have on confidence, teamwork, and character.
My decision to join the board was driven by a genuine passion for youth sports and a commitment to giving back to the community. I believe programs like Flushing Youth Tackle and Cheer provide more than just athletic opportunities—they help teach discipline, resilience, and leadership skills that benefit kids throughout their lives.

FLAG FOOTBALL COORDINATOR - DYLAN CAMPBELL
As a dad and football fan, I love helping young athletes learn the game, build confidence, and have fun before the pads come on. I believe flag football is where future stars get their start and where kids learn that running the right direction is an important first step. Being part of the board means a lot to me because it gives me the chance to give back to the community and support a program that brings families together. Plus, it gives me a perfectly acceptable reason to spend even more time talking about football, organizing football, and watching football… which my family will tell you I was probably going to do anyway.

COMMUNICATION/MEDIA - SARAH LEACH
Serving this board is important to me because I truly believe in the positive impact youth sports have on children, families, and our community. Being involved allows me to contribute to something that helps kids build confidence, learn teamwork, and create memories that will stay with them for a lifetime. In my role overseeing communication, media, and the concession stand. I focus on helping the program stay organized, visible, and connected with our families. Communication is essential for making sure parents, athletes, and volunteers have the information they need. Through media, I help showcase our athletes, promote the program, and bring excitement to the season. Managing the concession stand is another way I contribute by helping support the program financially while also creating a welcoming environment at games and events. I care deeply about making sure our program runs smoothly and that families feel informed and included. Being part of the board gives me the opportunity to support our athletes not only on the field but also by helping build a strong, well-run organization behind the scenes. For me, this role is about giving back to the community, supporting our youth, and helping create a program that kids are proud to be part of.
