Fort Myers Jr. Firecats
The
Fort Myers Jr. Firecats aka “The Firecats” is a youth Football, Cheer
& Dance Association of the City of Fort Myers STARS Division. Located
in Fort Myers, FL STARS, an acronym for Success Through Academic and
Recreational Support, is committed to providing students of Fort Myers quality
programs designed to assist them in reaching their maximum potential from Pre-K
through Adulthood. The Firecats is a proud member of Pop Warner Lil
Scholars Southeast Division, Peace River Conference.
Join
us in our mission of “Building Great Communities and Transforming Lives” for
the more than 1500 at risk boys and girls ages 3-18 who participate in our
program. The program is an excellent recreational outlet that is
community inclusive, builds self-esteem, teaches discipline, and provides
positive role models as coaches and mentors.
In addition to youth sports, participants have the opportunity
to participate in and benefit from the many skill and character development
activities offered daily S.T.A.R.S. East and S.T.A.R.S Complex. These
programs include Before and After School, Summer Camp, Tutoring, Literacy and
Technology, Youth Substance Abuse Prevention, Crime Prevention, Teen Pregnancy
Prevention, Career Development, Mentoring, and so much more!
