Bumble Bees
4 vs 4
No goalie
5 minute quarters with 2 minute breaks
3 minute half time
Total Time: 27 Minutes
Games will start every hour

-NO REFS! One coach from each team on the field and one to two coaches on the sidelines with the Subs. No more than 3 coaches per team. No parents should be on the field or on the players sideline.

-The clock runs without any stopping.
-e.g.: goal, injury, out of bounds

-Play starts with 4 players from each team on opposite sides of the circle.
- The ball is placed in the middle of the half field line.

-One player from the kicking team kicks the ball to start play.
-Kick off alternates between teams at the beginning of each quarter.
-Once a goal is scored, players return to the circle and the nonscoring team kicks off to restart play.

-Goals count for each team in either goal.

-OUT OF BOUNDS:
-play stops when the ball leaves the field of play.
-coach should blow whistle to stop play.
-Ball is then placed just outside the field of play at the spot the ball went out of bounds.
-A player from the team that did not kick the ball out of bounds will then kick the ball back into the field to restart play.
-All other players remain on the field.

-TIME:
-Either an assistant coach or a parent can be the time keeper.


U-6 Rules of Play:

Ball Size: 3

# of players for each team: 5 plus a goalie for a total of 6

Quarters: 4 which are 8 minutes each in length

2 minute breaks between each quarter with a 5 minute half time

Coaches: A max of 3 per team during the game
1 will be on the field with the players. This coach will also need to help the opposing coach referee the game. Any other coaches must remain on the sidelines with the subs.

The coach on the field should stay out of the flow of play as much as possible. Please also remain outside of the goal box. You can direct your goalie and other players from outside the goal box. You may enter when a goal kick occurs in order to help your player understand what to do.


All games will start on time with no exceptions. If a team is short players, you have the option to either forfiet, play being short players, allow the clock to run until you have enough players, or if the other coach has extra players and is willing to lend you players to play this can also be done, if that coach agrees.

GAME PLAY:
Play starts with a player from the kicking team kicking off.
Player can only kick the ball once during the kickoff. If a double kick does occur,  blow the whistle, reset the ball, explain what the player did wrong and the kickoff will happen again.
Players must remain on their side of the midfield line until the kickoff occurs.

Play stops when the ball goes out of bounds.
If the ball leaves the field on the sidelines, a throw in will occur.
One player from the team that did not kick the ball out will throw the ball back into play. Their feet must stay back behind the line and ball must be thrown with both hands over the head. Player's feet must remain on the ground during throw. All other players will remain on the field of play. Throwing player must not be the first one to touch the ball once it has been thrown back into play. 

Goal Kick:
A goal kick occurs when a member of the scoring team kicks the ball out of bounds along the end line of the defending teams goal.
The ball is place on the line of the small box and any player (does not necessarily have to be your goalie) will then kick the ball upon the referee's whistle.

Corner Kick:
A corner kick occurs when a member of the defending team kicks the ball out of bounds along the end line by their goal.
The ball will be placed in the corner of the field and a member of the team which did not kick it out will kick it back into play.

Scoring:
A goal is awarded when the ENTIRE ball crosses over the goal line. No goal will be awarded if the ball is kicked out of the goalie's hands. If this should occur, a goal kick will be awarded.

Fouls:
All fouls will result in a free kick for the opposing team.
A hand ball in the goal box will be awarded as a free kick.
**A free kick will be awarded to the opposing team for the following:
Headers: Heading the ball is NOT ALLOWED.
Slide kick or slide tackling: This is dangerous play at this level and is NOT ALLOWED.

Substitutions:
There are NO substitutions during a quarter unless injury occurs. All substitutions must occur at the beginning of the new quarter.

Coaches should work with the players to not push or kick at other players. A child who is excessively pushing should be given a warning by their coach.  If the behavior continues, the player may be removed from the game until the behavior is corrected.

Any child using inappropriate language  will be removed from the game if the behavior continues.

Players should not wear any jewelry.  Any hair accessories that could pose a risk to the player wear them or opposing players must be removed or tied back. Ex. Claw clips, Hair beads. Shin guards MUST be worn underneath socks. Absolutely no child will be allowed to play without shin guards!

Substitution:
Substitution may only occur at the beginning of a quarter unless an injury occurs. 
***All players MUST play 50% of the game (2 quarters)

U8 Rules of Play
Ball size: 4
# of players for each team: 6 plus a goalie for a total of 7.
** All players must play 50% of the game.

Quarters: 4 which are 10 minutes in length.
   2 minute break between quarters. 5 minute half time.

Coaches: A max of 3 coaches per team. No coaches are allowed past the opposing teams midfield point or on the field unless injury occurs.

Referees: 2 referees will used for all U8 games. Please allow them to make the calls.
** All referee calls are final!!
*** Any issues with a referee please see a board member or contact your commissioner.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should a coach confront a referee!!

All games will start on time. No Exceptions!!
  If a team is short players at the start of their game they may:
-forfeit
-play short (max of 2 players down)
-borrow players from the division below (U6)
-allow the clock to start with play starting when that team has enough to play
The game clock runs continuously. It DOES NOT stop for fouls, goals or injury.

The Start and Restart of Play:
Kickoff will occur to begin the game. The opposite team will kick off to start the next quarter.
Kickoff are taken: 
- at the start of the game.
-after a goal has been scored.
-at the start of each new quarter.

- a goal can be scored directly from kickoff.
- the opposing team must be at the edge of the circle while kickoff is in progress.
-the ball DOES NOT have to move forward on kickoff

Ball Out of Play:
Throw in: A throw in will occur when the ball leaves the field of play on either sideline.
a player from the team that DID NOT touch the ball last will throw the ball back into play. The throwing player must:
-stay behind the sideline
-throw the ball directly over their head while using both hands.
-keep both feet on the ground.
**This player CANNOT be the first player to touch the ball once it has reentered the field.

Goal Kick:
A goal kick occurs when a player from the attacking team kicks the ball out of play over the goal line. 
The ball is then placed on the line of the small box and any player from the defending team kicks the ball to restart play. This player:
- must kick the ball out of the goal box.
-CANNOT be the first player to touch the ball after the kick occurs.

** Goals will not be awarded if a player is slide kicking

-** Any player that the referees feel are excessively physical, using foul language or name calling will be given one warning during the game. A second occurrence will result in that player being removed for the remainder of the game.

Substitutions:
There are NO substitutions during a quarter unless injury occurs. All substitutions must occur at the beginning of the new quarter.
** Any player that arrives late to a game MUST be checked in by a referee BEFORE being allowed to enter a game.

Equipment and Safety:
-No player will be allowed to play in a game without shin guards.
-No player will be allowed to play in cleats that have a middle toe cleat.
- Jewlery of any kind is NOT ALLOWED during games.
- Hair beads are allowed but MUST be pulled back if the hair is long enough to swing and hit someone in the face.

Coaches should make their best effort to teach players all offensive and defensive positions.

**Please remember that the goal is to teach your players the game of soccer and for them to have fun!!
    





 

U10 Rules of Play:

Ball size: 4
 # of players for each team: 8 players plus a goalie for a total of 9.
** All players must play 50% of the game.

Halves: Two 24 minute halves
   5 minute half time.

Coaches: A max of 3 coaches per team. No coaches are allowed past the opposing teams midfield point or on the field unless injury occurs.

Referees: 2 referees will used for all U10 games. Please allow them to make the calls.
** All referee calls are final!!
*** Any issues with a referee please see a board member or contact your commissioner.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should a coach confront a referee!!

All games will start on time. No Exceptions!!
  If a team is short players at the start of their game they may:
-forfeit
-play short (max of 2 players down)

-borrow players from the division below (U8)

Offsides:  During the first half of the season offsides will be "called" but not enforced by the referees. 
Once the second half of the season starts (after the Labor Day break) referees will call and enforce offsides.
Result of Offsides will be an indirect free kick at the spot of infraction.
Offsides occurs when:
* A player is nearer to their opponent's goal line than the ball AND the second to last defender. Ex. Player only has the goalie in between them and the goal with all defenders and the ball behind them.
* A player mut be on the opponent's side of to be considered offsides. A player CANNOT be called offsides if they are on their team's side of the field. Ex. All of a team's defenders are on the opponent's side of mid-field. Attacking player may be behind them as long as they DO NOT cross mid-field.
*Playing or touching the ball passed or touched by a teammate.
*Gaining advantage by playing a ball that rebounds off of a post or crossbar while in an offsides position or playing a ball that rebounds off of an opponent while in an offsides position.
**Referees may choose to ONLY call an offsides when a play is made for the ball while in an offsides position. This would be communicated before the start of a game. 
***THERE IS NO OFFSIDES ON A THROW IN!!

Substitutions:
Subs must be placed at the mid-field sideline before being allowed to enter the game. Subs MUST wait for permission from the referees BEFORE entering the field. Each substitute must call off the player they are replacing. 

Either team may substitute:
* After a goal by either team
* Prior to a goal kick by either team
* At the start of a new half
*Prior to a throw in. ** But only when the team in possession of the ball has subs at the mid-field line.
* Substitutions must occur for injury or for player ejection.
**Goalkeeper may change positions with a player on the field during any recognized substitution opportunities. But ONLY with the permission of the referees.

-No player will be allowed to play in a game without shin guards.
-No player will be allowed to play in cleats that have a middle toe cleat.
