A quick update on our team schedules.

Our board has been continuously communicating with leaders from Pop Warner of South Charlotte, our league, about the details for the 2024 season, including game schedules.

For some insight - developing game schedules could only begin once the season officially started, and each team in the league was able to confirm how many teams and what age groups they could roster.

League officials are currently developing the schedule, and as soon as it is released, we will communicate it with you, our Copperheads families.

We understand not having specifics yet can be frustrating as you look to plan your school year and weekends, so here is what we know:

League officials initially told our board representatives to expect to play a game every Saturday starting August 24 with no bye weeks. This timing may also include Labor Day weekend.

While we hope to host around half of the season's games as home games at Catawba Ridge High School, we will not have specifics about game locations until the schedule is released.

We are committed to being transparent and keeping you informed throughout the season, and we appreciate your patience.

Quick Notes:

• We are in the closing phase of our registration, but we need your help. If you have any outstanding paperwork or forms due, we must have them by midnight on Friday. If you still need to include any forms, you should have received an email from us.
• The coaches in our organization are committed to placing each of our athletes in the position they believe best supports the team's overall success. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in trusting their judgment.
• 11u families: You should have received a separate email about Saturday's practice plans and the process for rostering our two teams. If you have yet to receive this communication, please email [email protected].
• Save the Date: We are slated to take team photos on Tuesday, September 3, and Wednesday, September 4. As soon as these days' schedules are confirmed, we will communicate this to parents.
