Preseason is over, Copperheads families, and the best day(s) of the year starts this Saturday - game day!

Our teams are away this week, and we are excited to see our players in action, showing off all the skills they have been hard at work learning during practice.

Game Schedule this week (Saturday, 8/24):

• 11:45 a.m.: 9U Weddington Titans vs. 9U Copperheads (Glenn) at Weddington Optimist Park (5211 Weddington Road, Weddington, NC)
• 1:15 p.m.: 10U Weddington Titans vs. 10U Copperheads (Cornett) at Weddington Optimist Park (5211 Weddington Road, Weddington, NC)
• 3:15 p.m.: 13U I Got Next Wolfpack vs. 13U Copperheads (Hester) at Rocky River High School (10505 Clear Creek Commerce Drive, Mint Hill, NC)
• 4:45 p.m.: 11U Harrisburg Cowboys vs. 11U Copperheads (Childs) at Harrisburg Athletic Complex (191 Sims Parkway, Harrisburg, NC)
• Time Still TBD: 12U Stanley Blue Devils vs. 12U Copperheads (Broadwater) at Clover High School (1625 Highway 55 East, Clover, SC)

11U Copperheads (Harper): The opponent, location, and time for your game is "TBD" on the schedule. We expect to get additional updates from league officials by midweek.

Cheer Teams: Based on the release of the schedule today, cheer coaches are finalizing getting squads together for games. Squad details will be released soon.

Parents, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with the Pop Warner league with game scheduling this season. We will continue to be transparent and update you as frequently and quickly as possible.

Ahead this week:

• Our football and cheer teams will practice Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at Catawba Ridge High School.
• 11U Copperheads (Childs): You should have received an email and a notification in your Band app about the change in this week's practice. Your team will practice Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• Please do NOT park along the road between the practice fields and the Catawba Ridge High School stadium. High school athletes will be practicing in those facilities, and the administration has asked that parking be limited to the parking lot.
• Are You Missing Something? If your athlete has misplaced something during practice, there's a chance we know where it is. We have a growing Lost & Found collection - look at the window sill of the track field concession building.

Highlight of the Week:

Congrats to our 10U Copperheads team, who had a great showing in their scrimmage this weekend against the South Charlotte Patriots. The players scored three touchdowns while holding the Pats to zero points and no first downs.
