Albany Little League Rookie thru Intermediate Divisions
Sign up your 6 to 13 yo player for the ALL Spring 2025 Season. All players must attend evaluations where they will be placed into an age and skill appropriate division.
Generally speaking a player will be assigned to one of these divisions based upon their skills but also limited by the underlying age groups:
- Rookie is for 6 year-olds who have played a season of T-Ball and 7 year-olds who are: (a) new to baseball; (b) requesting to play Rookie; or (c) recommended to play Rookie based on prior year league evaluations 7 year-olds who have previously played Rookie may be assigned to Rookie for a second year based on skill level or preference. If your 6 year old is new to baseball, please sign them up for T-Ball.
- A is primarily for 7 year-olds with previous experience and 8 year-olds with limited experience.
- AA is composed of players ages 8 and 9, and will be formed based on player evaluations with the aim of fostering competitive balance. Please note: if your 8 yo is new to baseball please sign them up in the single A division.
- AAA is primarily for players aged 10-11 years old but is also available for players age 9 who request to be considered for AAA.
- Majors based on player evaluations, 10-11 year olds will be placed in Majors or the AAA division. 12 year-olds will be placed in the Majors division. Majors is the less competitive recreational division for 10 - 12 year olds.
- Intermediate is designed primarily for 11 and 12 year olds but allows 13 year olds who are born after 5/1/2011. Assignment to the Intermediate division is based upon evaluation by the division commissioner and the player agent. Players ages 11 or 12 not selected for the Intermediate division will be offered a place in the recreational Majors division for further development.
