The Rookie division in Little League is a developmental league that introduces players to baseball fundamentals. 

It is also an introduction to coach-pitch baseball and competition for primarily league age 6 years old or a league age 5 year old with tee ball experience. The division focuses on creating a fun and positive learning environment for players, parents, and coaches.

Rookie Division (league age 5 and 6 year olds. This division offers coach pitching)

*********All League Age 6 players must initially register in the Rookie division. Any League Age 6 year old who has played at least one year of Rookie is eligible to try out for the Single A division. Tryouts will be held this upcoming January. Attending tryouts does not guarantee a spot in the Single A division. It only guarantees the player will be added to the draft pool for the Single A division. A League Age 6 year old may be eligible to play Single A if their guardian is selected to manage a Single A team. Also, any League Age 6 year old drafted onto a Single A team will be responsible for the cost difference.  Please Email the [email protected] for this request

This division consists of league age 8-10 year olds, where a higher level of game understanding and ability is taught. This division also has player pitching. The primary emphasis is to give players as much experience and playing time as possible, and encourage ongoing development of all players in all phases of the game. This division participates in tryouts and players are drafted onto teams.
