Tee Ball - Little League Baseball

The Tee Ball division is designed for our youngest players, typically little league age 4 to 5 who are just beginning their baseball journey. Tee ball focuses on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive environment where no prior experience is required. Tee Ball emphasizes teamwork, basic skills, and the joy of playing baseball.

The Rookie division in Little League is a developmental league that introduces players to baseball fundamentals. It is also an introduction to coach-pitch baseball and competition for primarily league age 6 years old or a league age 5 year old with tee ball experience. The division focuses on creating a fun and positive learning environment for players, parents, and coaches.

This division is for league age 7-8 year olds. This division marks the beginning of competitive baseball, while still offering coach pitching and teaching basic baseball fundamentals. It may also be a chance to introduce players to player pitch. The focus remains on the fun of playing the sport while developing fielding, making plays, accurate throwing, proper hitting technique and preparing for player pitching at the AA level. 

This division consists of league age 8-10 year olds, where a higher level of game understanding and ability is taught. This division also has player pitching. The primary emphasis is to give players as much experience and playing time as possible and encourage ongoing development of all players in all phases of the game. 

This division consists of league age 9-11 year olds. This division promotes a higher level of competition than the AA division and emphasizes more of the standard rules of Little League baseball. The focus remains on teaching baseball fundamentals, player development and teamwork, while encouraging a greater understanding of the game. This division offers continued development on player pitching, as live pitching is a key component of the game. This division will allow players to advance in their skill development to prepare for successful participation at the Majors level. 

This division consists of league age 11-12 year olds. This division promotes competition to a higher degree as compared with the Minor Division. This division will continue to emphasize player development, improving baseball skills and knowledge of the game, building player confidence, emphasizing fair play, and learning the different rules at the higher level of play. 

Intermediate (50/70) - Little League Baseball

The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division was introduced in January 2010, which utilizes a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. It was formed by Little League International to: (1) provide an opportunity for players to transition incrementally from a 46/60 field to a full size 60/90 baseball field in high school (if they choose to play) ; (2) provide an opportunity for local leagues to offer a more competitive level of baseball during the regular season for advanced players; and (3) allow Little League to adapt with the changing environment of youth baseball.  In the Intermediate Division, base runners are allowed to lead off and to steal at any time (they do not need to wait for the ball to cross the plate). In addition, pitchers and catchers may attempt to pick off a base runner who has led off too far. This makes the game much closer to what players see on tv, while competing on a field that is reasonable for their age.

Junior - Little League Baseball

Players who are league age 13-14 are eligible to play in the Junior Division. This is a competitive division of play using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Travel is required for inter-district play.
