Hamden Fathers Baseball + Softball Association's Pebbles & Bam Bam league offers your 3 or 4* year-old a wonderful and fun introduction to the games of baseball and softball**!
Players learn introductory skills such as:
- Simple catching drills
- Basic throwing techniques
- Learning the basic mechanics of the swing
- The field layout (infield and outfield) including the bases and home plate
- Running to first base
- Playing together as a team and being a good teammate
Typically the season includes weekly skills work with a few games (games follow a T-ball format where everyone bats each inning and typically 3 innings are played).
- The league will provide ALL players a uniform cap and jersey
- All players must bring a fielding glove
- You may purchase your own helmet and bat, but the league also has some available to use
*Players must be age 3 or 4 on August 31st of the current year.
**While Pebbles & Bam Bam uses baseballs for skills, drills and games, your player is still learning the fundamentals of the game, regardless of if they play baseball OR softball later on!
