Behavior Expectations - We understand that failure is built into the game of baseball by default. Anytime you can fail 7 out of every 10 tries at anything in life and still be considered great means that failure is common theme in this arena. Frustration will be inevitable.
• Players - It is very important to us that our attitudes and efforts always remain positive even during struggles and failure.
• Negative body language, insubordinate behavior and lack of effort is grounds for disciplinary action. We intend to coach our players through any type of negative behavior.
• If the behavior develops into aggressive, overly emotional, insubordinate or disruptive in nature – we will ask the player to sit with their parents until after the game or practice.
Parents – We appreciate your child’s participation on our team.
• We expect to coach our team with your support and encouragement.
• Please keep any negative or disruptive comments to yourself during games.
• We welcome discussions or any complaint you might have; however, during games or tournaments is not the appropriate time. Scheduling a meeting in advance before or after practice is welcome and preferred.
Coaches – Are selected upon a normal interview process and are vetted through a background check with USSSA.
• Our coaches typically have played a form of advanced level baseball, some at the high school, college or even at the professional level.
• Our goal is to offer cutting edge and higher-level baseball experience and knowledge.
• Our coaches will be expected to treat all players, parents, fans, and officials in a professional manner with courtesy and respect.
• In addition, some members of our coaching staff will be parents of a player on their team.
• We expect that our coaches will act in a fair manner to all players and create opportunities for players to earn their spot on the travel team. During practice and friendly scrimmages, coaches will give players the opportunity to demonstrate competency at multiple positions. At tournaments, coaches will do their best to position players in a manner that gives the team the best advantage to compete.
