Rookies is for players 7-8 and 6 year olds who have played at least one year of Tee Ball. This division is machine pitch. Flexi balls are used for play and coaches are allowed on the field during the season to help instruct the developing players.

The primary goals of Rookies is to teach proper fielding techniques, learn how to hit a pitched ball, and understand positions in the field. Baseball fundamentals are stressed including hitting and making outs on the bases.  You can expect 1 game per week and 1 practice.

MAPs is for players 7-9 years old. This division is meant to introduce competitive baseball while players continue to hone their skills and understanding of the game. The division features youth umpires calling balls and strikes, scorekeeping and team standings. Teams change sides at 3 outs and 9 players play at a time in the field. Hardballs are used with a pitching machine and players get 5 swings to make contact or they are out. This is also the first division to introduce the catching position.  Coaches are allowed on the field for part of the season to help instruct the developing players.

MAPs eligible players are required to participate in evaluations and the teams are drafted by the division managers. If a player aged 7 or 8 years old is not selected to a MAPs team, they will be placed in the Rookies division for further development.

The primary goals of MAPs is to teach players how to independently make outs on defense, understand basic base running principles (secondary leads, sliding) continue to develop proper fielding (ground balls and fly balls) techniques, and further develop live pitch hitting skills. Practices time will also teach players how to pitch off a mound and play catcher.  You can expect 1 game per week and 1 practice.

Minor B is a competitive division for players ages 8-10. Minor B is our first division that features “kid pitch.” Hard baseballs are pitched from a 46 foot mound on a diamond with 60 foot base paths.

Minor B players are required to participate in evaluations which includes pitching from the mound and the teams are drafted by the division managers. If a player aged 8-9 years old is not selected to a Minor B team, they will be drafted to a team in MAP's division for further development.

Minor B focuses on continued development of baseball fundamentals including the introduction of pitching and base stealing. Teams change sides at 3 outs and 9 players play at a time in the field.

The Minor B division will feature 1 practice and 1 game per week for the first 2 months of the season to accelerate player development after which, you can expect 2 games per week. Since this is a competitive division, standings will be kept to determine seeding for a post-season tournament and city championship game.

Minor A is a competitive division for players ages 9-11. Minor A is “kid pitch” division for more advanced players. Hard baseballs are pitched from a 46 foot mound on a diamond with 60 foot base paths.

Minor A players are required to participate in evaluations and teams are drafted by the division managers. If a player aged 9 -10 years old is not selected to a Minor A team, they will be drafted to a team in the Minor B division for further development.

You can expect 2 games per week and 1 practice. Since this is a competitive division, standings will be kept to determine seeding for a post-season tournament and city championship game.

Majors division our most competitive division for players ages 10-12. 12 year olds must play in the majors division only. Hard baseballs are pitched from a 46 foot mound on a diamond with 60 foot base paths.

Major players are required to participate in evaluations and teams are drafted by the division managers.  If a player aged 10 -11 years old is not selected to a Majors team, they will be drafted to a team in the Minor A division for further development.

Majors is competitive baseball and unlike Minor A and Minor B divisions, there is no minimum infield playtime requirements. You can expect 2 games per week and 1 practice.  Since this is a competitive division, standings will be kept to determine seeding for a post-season tournament and city championship game.
