Edgewood has had a baseball/softball league for the past 40+ years. In 1988 it became a registered non-profit organization known as the Edgewood Athletic Association. EAA partners with the Puyallup Recreation Center and other surrounding youth sports clubs.
The objective of the league is to encourage members, their families, friends and neighbors to participate in, coach or otherwise enjoy amateur athletics, particularly among young people for the enjoyment and recreation of the youth of our community.
Who can play in the league? Boys and girls that are 5 years old by August 31st of the current year. Youth from Edgewood and surrounding areas may play in the league if they are within the age requirements.
Our coaches are screened and trained – all coaches are screened with a background check and are required to attend the NYSCA coach’s clinic and maintain an up to date card with NYSCA.
Our goal is to teach the game of baseball/softball so that each player can optimize his or her own playing capabilities.
