Registration opens January 24, 2025 and will close March 14, 2025. 

1. Cost for registration is as follows.

   1. T-Ball players $ 75.00/Player Ages 4-7 

   2. Minor and Major Baseball $100.00/Player Ages 7-12

   3. Minor and Major Softball $100.00/Player Ages 8-12

2. No Registration will be permitted after March 14, 2025.

3. Registration can be done on http://leagues.bluesombrero.com/gowandalittleleague. Payments should be made online. 

4. All players will receive a Jersey, Hat and Socks.

5. T-Ball players are not required to have cleats or baseball pants. Sneakers and pants or shorts will suffice.

6. All Baseball players need Grey pants and Athletic supporters (Boys).

7. All Softball players need black pants and a facemask.

8. Volunteers are needed at all levels of GLLB (Coaches, Assistants, Team Mom’s). Please let a Board Member know if you would like to Coach. Also indicate on the Sports Connect site that you would like to Volunteer. Your background check will be done through that site.

All T-Ball players will be divided up evenly dependent on Volunteers to Coach.

1. After March 14, 2025, teams will be determined and coaches will notify you.

2. If your T-Ball player has played 2 previous years of T-Ball, and is 6 years old and would benefit more by playing at the Minor Baseball level, a parent can request to have their player moved to the Minor level.

   1. Certain precautions and rules are enforced with a 6 year old at the Minor Baseball Level.

Major Try-outs

1. All registered players (Age 9 and up for Baseball, 10 and up Softball)  not currently on a Major team are required to Try-Out.

   1. Not all players that try-out, will be guaranteed to make a Major team. It all depends on how many teams there are and how many players try-out.

   2. If a parent does not feel that their child should be at the major level, they can request them to stay down in the Minor level. They can still try-out, but will not be picked.

2. Depending on the number of players to try-out, this will determine how many Major teams there will be.

3. Major Coaches will be at the Try-Outs to observe all players and will draft players within a week.

4. After Major teams are determined, Coaches will notify players/parents.

Minor Teams

1. Players not eligible to be drafted will remain on the same team as previous year,  in most cases.

2. In the event that the number of Minor teams needs to change from the previous year, teams may be adjusted.

3. All remaining undrafted age 9-10 players and players age 7-8 (and eligible 6 year olds), will make up the Minor team rosters.

Schedules

1. T-ball teams will play 8 (approximately) games against other GLLB T-ball teams

2. Minor Baseball will play 8 (approximately) games against other GLLB Baseball teams and potentially other Baseball opponents from neighboring towns.

3. Minor Softball will play 8 (approximately) games against other GLLB Softball teams and potentially other Softball opponents from neighboring towns.

4. Major Baseball will play 8 (approximately) games against other GLLB Baseball teams and potentially other Baseball opponents from neighboring towns.

5. Major Softball will play 8 (approximately) games against other GLLB Softball teams and potentially other Softball opponents from neighboring towns.

Pictures will be scheduled towards the end of May.

1. Photographer will be Dave of Briz Media who did a great job with picture day last year.

2. The Board will work with Dave to find days to schedule the teams.

3. Coaches will then be notified with the schedule and they in turn will let parents know.

Mid-Season Classic

1. The GLLB will try to put together a Mid Season Event. Years ago, GLLB did a Community Day event. This will be an adaptation of that. Stay tuned for more details as the season progresses.

All-Stars

1. GLLB will work to get Baseball and Softball teams available for multiple ages. Again stay tuned for more details during the season.

End of the Year Awards/Party

1. Each coach plans their own party at the end of the year.

   1. Pizza, pop and Trophies are provided by the league.

   2. Extra things can be done by the team or coaches (pool party, special awards, etc..)
