TYA Little League Softball Spring 2026 Season

The TYA Little League Softball Program strives to provide the children (4 to 16 years old) of our local communities with an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a positive youth sports culture and a high-quality experience to every athlete.
This experience includes one in which athletes are:
1. Coached using the principles of Positive Coaching in a safe and structured environment
2. Encouraged to have fun playing the game and make new friends
3. Enabled to feel like an important part of the team regardless of performance
4. Taught “life lessons” that have value beyond the playing field and throughout a lifetime
5. Taught the skills, tactics and strategies of the game and improve as a player while honoring the game
We recognize that the volunteers, parents, and coaches who support the organization are the ones who most directly make this all possible. It is our goal to provide every volunteer and parent with tools to be able to be successful in this endeavor.
The TYA Little League Softball Program is committed to creating a positive culture in which coaches, parents, fans, officials and athletes work together to achieve our mission.
TYA Little League Softball is a member of Pennsylvania District 22 and is included in Section 8.

Xplosion Sunday Select Softball 2026

If you have considered trying out for a travel team but not sure if you would be a good “fit”, you might consider playing Sunday Select Softball. This league will give you a good understanding of the competitive nature and endurance level of travel softball – without committing to playing travel.
Sunday Select is played during the Spring season, and as the name implies, all games are played on Sunday.
The Select season is between 8 to 10 weeks long. The season ends with a tournament, often held towards the end of June. Qualifying games are played on the Saturday of the tournament to determine team rankings (and seeding) for the Sunday championship play. Each team will play 2 games on Saturday; Sunday is a "knock-out" round. If your team loses, the season is over.

Please note that there is no initial charge to register for Sunday Select. Once we have enough for a team you will be asked to pay a fee. The cost for 8u is $75, 10u is $85. Tryouts will only take place if more than 13 players register for the team.
