Primarily for league age six to seven year old players, or younger players with a year of TBall experience. Team formation in this division is done by league age and teams organized by the Division Coordinator, generally by school. It is an instructional division where players hit Reduced Injury Factor (RIF) balls pitched by their own coach from a short distance. Teams practice once midweek and play one game per weekend. No scores are kept, every offensive player bats each inning regardless of outs and no player sits on defense. Players are taught the fundamentals of baseball such that they are exposed to playing positions and are taught throwing, catching, batting, defensive ready position and running the bases. This division is intended to be a transition from tee ball to coach pitch. As per Little League requirements, a league age 6 year old player can only participate in coach pitch if they played one full year of tee ball in an approved Little League program.
