2026 Wilmington Youth Cheerleading

FLAG CHEER- Instructional, Ages 4, 5, & 6. 1 practice weekly and they will exhibit at the local competition om 10/17 or 10/24

U8 CHEER- Competitive. Ages 5, 6, 7 & 8. 3 Practices weekly and they will compete at the local competition with the chance to advance to the State Competition.

U10 CHEER- Competitive. Ages 7, 8, 9, &10. 3 Practices weekly and they will compete at the local league competition, can advance to the State Competition and are also eligible to advance to the New England Regional Competition and National Competition in Kissimmee Florida  

U12 CHEER- Competitive. Ages 9, 10, 11, &12. 3 Practices weekly and they will compete at the local league competition, can advance to the State Competition and are also eligible to advance to the New England Regional Competition and National Competition in Kissimmee Florida  

U14 CHEER- Competitive. Ages 11, 12, 13, & 14. 3 Practices weekly and they will compete at the local league competition, can advance to the State Competition and are also eligible to advance to the New England Regional Competition and National Competition in Kissimmee Florida  

*All teams cheer at home & away football games (towns like Melrose, Peabody, Reading) on Sundays from September- October. If a football team makes playoAs the cheerleaders will continue to cheer. All teams practice at Glen Road field for the month of August, then all practices move indoors to local school gyms. U8 and up- practices are mandatory beginning in September. 

Competition Dates- Local 10/17 or 10/24, State 11/7, Regionals 11/14, Nationals first week of December in Kissimmee FL.
