Divisions & Ages
The ages listed below are typical. If you think your player may be ready to play up a division, please reach out to

Ages 4-6: Tee Ball
Ages 7-8: Minor 1 (Coach Pitch)
Ages 9-10: Minor 2 (Kid Pitch)
Ages 11-12: Majors
Ages 13-14: Juniors (seasons start right after MS seasons end)
Practice Schedules Practices days and times will be set by coaches and based on field availability.
Game Schedules
Depending on the division, games will be played Mon-Thu evenings and Saturday mornings/early afternoon. Typically divisions will use the following schedule; however, that is subject to change.
- Tee Ball - Mon/Wed/Sat
- Minor 1 (Coach Pitch) - Tue/Thu/Sat
- Minor 2 (Kid Pitch) - Mon/Wed/Sat
- Majors - Tues/Thu (and Sat for Opening/Closing Days only)
- Juniors - Varies
Season schedules will be posted as soon as they are available. Typically 1-2 weeks before Opening Day. Home games will be at DW Richardson Park or Airway Park for most divisions.
Important Dates for 2025
- Minor & up Division Practices Start: Week of March 24th
- Field Cleanup: Saturday, March 29th (and April 12th, if needed)
- Minor 2 & Major Baseball Evaluations: March 3rd & 5th at Highlands Middle School (more info below)
- Opening Day Celebration: Saturday, April 19th
- Tee Ball Practices Start: Week of April 21st
- Tee Ball Opening Day: Wednesday, May 7th
- Picture Day: Friday, May 9th at Highlands Middle School
- Closing Day: Saturday, May 31st (Makeup game dates could extend past Closing Day)
- NVLL Night at the Whitecaps! Tuesday, June 3rd
Player Evaluations For Minor 2 / Majors Baseball
Player evaluations will be held for participants in Minor 2 - Kid Pitch and Majors baseball divisions on Monday, March 3rd and Wednesday, March 5th from 5:00-7:00pm at Highlands Middle School. Attendance is required for all players in these divisions. Evaluations are only used to help create evenly matched teams and have no bearing on your child's participation or playing time. Players should arrive with a glove, and tennis shoes (no cleats). They may bring their bat if preferred, but we'll have plenty.
Equipment NeedsNVLL will provide each baseball player with a team jersey and baseball hat. Coaches will have bats, helmets, and catchers gear available.
Equipment list:
- (Required) Pants - Light Gray Color preferred
- (Required) Glove / Mitt
- Cleats (Optional, But Highly Recommended)
- Bat (Optional)
- Batting Helmet (Optional)
USA Baseball Bats
Little League requires that all bats conform to USA Baseball standards. All bats without the USA Baseball logo will be prohibited from use, so if you are planning on purchasing a bat, please make sure it has the USA Baseball logo on it. More information can be
