Coaching Expectations, Duties, and Time Commmitments
6U Tee Ball
-One game per week during regular season. Some weeks may not have an actual game but more of a clinic. (75 min games)
-Hold one practice per week during regular season.
-Hold 2 practices per week before start of season, weather permitting.
-Non-Competitive coaching. Having fun and teaching basic fundamentals is the focus.
-Uphold MGSL rules and expectations. No yelling or demeaning players.
-All coaches will need to pass a background check and go through Little League Abuse Awareness and Diamond Leader Training.
8U Coach Pitch
-One or two games per week during regular season. Coaches will pitch. (75 min games)
-Hold one practice per week during regular season. (1-1.5 Hours)
-Hold 2 practices per week before start of season, weather permitting.
-Non-Competitive coaching. Having fun and teaching basic fundamentals is the focus. Start teaching defensive positions and duties.
-Uphold MGSL rules and expectations. No yelling or demeaning players.
-All coaches will need to pass a background check and go through Little League Abuse Awareness and Diamond Leader Training.
10U-12U Minors/Majors
-Two games per week during regular season. Players will pitch. (90min games)
-Hold one practice per week during regular season. (1-1.5 Hours)
-Hold 2 practices per week before start of season, weather permitting.
-Semi-Competitive coaching. Having fun and teaching basic fundamentals is the focus but score will be kept and teams will attempt to win games.
-Uphold MGSL rules and expectations. No yelling or demeaning players. Follow league rules and do not look for grey areas to win.
-All coaches will need to pass a background check and go through Little League Abuse Awareness and Diamond Leader Training.
