Weslaco Pony Baseball and Softball was brought back to Weslaco in 2025. Our league has the hopes of allowing our community to play the game of Baseball and Softball and the opportunity to experience and achieve excellence. With our volunteers support, our league will provide coaches and role models who will help teach young players the skills needed to play. Additionally, we strive for our players to gain leadership skills, learn good sportsmanship, and develop life long friendships.
SPRING SEASON
Spring registration will open annually, from Mid December until Late February. Player evaluations are typically scheduled Early March and teams can begin practices shortly after. League games are set to start the last week of March or 1st week of April. The spring season will consist of 10 - 12 games with a mid-season and end of season tournament. The regular season will end late May and then All Stars will start Mid-June.
Team games are typicaly scheduled twice weekly (weeknights from 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM). There is a possibility for Saturday games depending on leage size, rainouts and city interlocking. All games are held at Mayor Pablo Pena Park in Weslaco, Texas.
Team practices will be held at the discretion and location of the head coach. Every attemp will be made to minimize travel times during the weeknights and weekends.
