CMFL
Codes of Conduct

Parents, please review the code of conduct for your athlete(s) and coaches. If you believe any rules or codes are being violated, speak to the coach first. If further action is needed, contact the coordinator.

1.       24 Hour Rule: means waiting 24 hours after a game or event before discussing any concerns with a coach or coordinator. This cooling-off period allows emotions to settle and promotes a more constructive conversation.

2.       Respect: Respect all athletes, coaches, officials, and other parents.

3.       Support: Encourage and support all athletes, not just your child. Refrain from negative comments and criticism.

4.       Conduct: Maintain a positive attitude and refrain from any form of verbal or physical abuse.

5.       Involvement: Participate positively in your athletes sports experience by supporting team activities and attending games.

6.       Communication: Communicate any concerns respectfully with coaches or league officials.

7.       Behavior: Parents can and will be removed from the stadium or practice locations for unacceptable behavior.

Athletes:

1.       Respect: Treat coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials with respect always.

2.       Sportsmanship: Display good sportsmanship, both on and off the field. No taunting, fighting, or unsportsmanlike behavior.

3.       Attendance: Attend all practices and games punctually. Inform coaches in advance if unable to attend.

4.       Effort: Give 100% effort during practices and games.

5.       Rules: Follow all game rules and instructions given by coaches.

6.       Behavior: Demonstrate positive behavior and self-discipline. No inappropriate language, gestures, or actions.

7.       Suspension Policy: Athletes can and will be suspended or removed from the team for unacceptable behavior.

Coaches:

1.       Treat the athlete, parents, referees, and opponents with respect and courtesy.

2.       Accept the decisions of the referees with grace and respect.

3.       Hold your athletes accountable for their actions; help them be the best they can be.

4.       Teach and inspire your athletes to love and learn the sport and to compete fairly within the rules.

5.       Be a role model.

6.       Have control and always maintain a positive discipline.

7.       The coach shall be responsible for his/her actions, control of team members, and control of the team's fans, including parents.

By adhering to these Codes of Conduct, we aim to create a positive, and respectful environment for all participants.
