
Thank you for the generous gift of your time. DOCAA is a volunteer run organization. With the help from people like you, it allows our players the wonderful. There are several ways you can donate your time, and each have different requirements.

Volunteer & Coach Requirements
⚠️ No volunteer or coach may have contact with players until ALL required items are completed and approved.
Step 1: Register as a Volunteer (Required)
All individuals must register before participating.

Step 2: Babe Ruth / Cal Ripken Membership & Background Check
Required for all volunteers with direct or consistent contact with players.
👉 Complete Babe Ruth / Cal Ripken Membership & Background Check
- Background checks are valid for 1 year
- Abuse Prevention Training required annually
Step 3: Coaching Certification (Coaches Only)
Required for all baseball and softball coaches.
👉 Complete Babe Ruth Coaching Certification (Human Kinetics)
- Lifetime certification per sport
- Certification required for each sport coached
- Training fees are not reimbursed
Step 4: DOCAA Kid Safe Policy & Code of Conduct
Required for all volunteers and coaches.

Step 5: First Aid Certification (Managers & Coaches)
- Current First Aid certification required
- Must be valid through the end of the season
- Employer or community certifications accepted

Step 6: City of Jacksonville Badge Renewal
Required for access to City of Jacksonville facilities.

Step 7: Final Clearance
DOCAA will review all submissions.
