
Thank you for the generous gift of your time. DOCAA is a volunteer run organization. With the help from people like you, it allows our players the wonderful. There are several ways you can donate your time, and each have different requirements.
* Every volunteer must go through a background check before being allowed to have any contact with players during any official team activity. Background checks are valid for 1 year. A background check link will be provided by the league to those that require one.

Background check – All managers, coaches and league board members as well as any person who has consistent & direct contact with players through league sanctioned activities, must have a National Verified Background Check and Abuse Prevention Training approved through Babe Ruth League, Inc. every 2 years. DOCAA will provide the appropriate link information to complete this requirement.
Babe Ruth Coaching Certification - It is a requirement is that all baseball and softball coaches affiliated with Babe Ruth League complete coach education and certification. Babe Ruth League coach certification is a lifetime certification. Coaches who successfully pass the course will receive a certification (for that sport) valid for their entire coaching career with Babe Ruth League, Inc. Coaches are required to be certified in each sport they coach. Training is provided by Human Kinetics through their online training program. DOCAA does not reimburse for this training course.
First Aid Certification – a current certification is required for all Manager/Coaches. These certifications typically expire after two years, so the certification should be valid through the end of the season. A valid certificate from your employer, or community-supplied first aid training, can be used as well. Once completed, send the certificate of completion to [email protected]
DOCAA Coach/Volunteer Code of Conduct/Kid Safe Policy Acknowledgement is required for volunteers of DOCAA. We understand that protecting children is our most important responsibility, and that our programs serve no positive purpose if we do not ensure their safety.

3. Complete Volunteer/Coach's Code of Conduct/Kid Safe Policy
4. Once DOCAA receive all the verified clearance approved, you can begin to volunteer.
