Umpires

Registration for umpires is now handled through Stack Officials

All umpires will need to set up an account through Stack Officials and receive training to start umpiring.  District staff offers in-person gym and on-field training prior to each season.  We also offer VR training throughout the year!  If you are interested in being an umpire or have questions, please use the About Us section to email the Umpire in Chief or Assistant Umpire in Chief.

We encourage anyone interested to do the following:
-Download the Little League Rulebook App
-Register for a Little League University account
-Register on the Little League Umpire Registry

To become a regional or World Series umpire for Little League, you'll need to start by gaining experience at the local level and working your way up. This typically involves umpiring games in your local league, district, and state. You'll also need to submit an application through the Umpire Registry and potentially attend an ID Camp to be evaluated.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Start at the Local Level:
Begin by umpiring games in your local league, gaining experience and building your skills.

2. Invest in Yourself
Sign up for on the Little League Umpire Registry and Little League University.  These sites provide training and continuous development to improve knowledge, skills, and performance.

3. Attend various in-person training events
These include Outreach Clinics, Mechanics Clinics, and Umpire Academies.  See the full calendar in the Umpire Registry.

4. District and State Level:
As you gain experience, you can move on to umpiring games at the district and state levels.

5. Submit an Application through the Umpire Registry:
Once you've accumulated sufficient experience, you'll need to create an account through the Umpire Registry.

5. ID Camp (Optional):
Attending an ID Camp can help assess your skills and provide feedback from Little League officials.

6. Selection Process:
The Little League International Selection Committee will consider your application and potentially your performance at an ID Camp, along with other nominated umpires.

7. Regional and World Series Assignments:
Based on your experience, performance, and the selection process, you may be assigned to umpire at a regional tournament or even the World Series.
