Coaching Multiple Teams – Important Guidelines

We understand that, in some cases, one individual may assist with multiple teams across various age groups. Please review the following expectations and procedures to ensure clarity:

One Head Coach - Per Team - Per Age Group
While someone may help coach multiple teams, they can only be listed as the Head Coach for one team per age group.
o Example: A coach can be the head coach of one 7-8 team and one 9–10 team, but not two 11–13 teams.
MANDATORY: Each team is required to have at least one BPAR-approved assistant coach on file to ensure coverage in the event the head coach is unavailable.

Assistant Coaches – Secondary Contact & Preparedness
o The Assistant Coach listed on the roster will serve as the secondary contact if the Head Coach cannot be reached. Please keep this in mind when selecting and listing your assistant.

o It is MANDATORY for each team to have at least one BPAR approved assistant coach. Depending upon the sport more than one assistant coach may be allowed.

o The Listed Assistant Coach(es) are expected to step in and carry out all coaching responsibilities if the Head Coach is unavailable for games. Head Coaches should plan ahead for potential conflicts to ensure coverage and continuity for their team.

Scheduling Conflicts
o If a coach is involved with multiple teams, BPAR will do its best to avoid scheduling conflicts. However, there are no guarantees, and games will not be rescheduled due to overlapping coach responsibilities.

Want to create a Team Roster?

o Download the Team Roster from the "Coaches" tab on the website.

o Complete the form and return it:

o By email to: [email protected]

o Or in person at the BPAR office: 3223 Old Shed Road, Bossier City.

Thank you for your interest in making a difference this season!
