New Jersey Elite Coach’s Code of Conduct

As a coach in New Jersey Elite Flag Football League, I understand that I am a role model and representative of the league. My words, actions, and attitude set the standard for players, parents, and fellow coaches. By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, I commit to creating a safe, fun, and positive experience for all athletes.

Coach Commitments

• Positive Leadership: Conduct myself respectfully and professionally toward players, parents, fellow coaches, staff, and officials.
• Player-Centered Coaching: Keep winning in perspective and prioritize fun, safety, and development for all players.
• Equal Opportunity: Ensure every child feels included, regardless of skill or background.
• Respect for Officials: Support officials’ decisions and avoid criticism or negative behavior.
• Knowledge of the Game: Learn, teach, and follow the rules of flag football and NJ Elite policies.
• Safety First: Provide a safe environment, free from abuse, bullying, or unsafe play.
• Sportsmanship & Character: Teach players to play with integrity, respect, and dignity in all outcomes.
• Role Model Behavior: Avoid profanity, unsportsmanlike conduct, or negative influence on athletes.
• Communication: Maintain open, respectful communication with parents, officials, and staff.
• Zero Tolerance: No aggression, harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind.
