These policies govern the use of the www.NFLFlagOC.org website and participation in the NFL Flag OC league, operated by Great Park Sports. By accessing our website, registering a player, or making a donation, you agree to be bound by these policies.
1. Terms and Conditions
A. Registration, Eligibility, and Enrollment
- Legal Authority: All registrations must be completed by a parent or legal guardian who is 18 years of age or older. By registering a minor (player), the guardian warrants they have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate registration information (including contact details, medical information, and player eligibility).
- Waiver and Release: Participation is conditioned upon the parent/guardian agreeing to a separate Waiver of Liability and Release, acknowledging the inherent risks of flag football and sports participation.
- NSID Verification: Participants opting into tournament play must comply with the National Sports ID (NSID) verification process to confirm age and grade eligibility.
B. Code of Conduct and Participation Rules
All participants, parents, guardians, coaches, and spectators agree to uphold the following standards:
- Respect and Sportsmanship: Treat all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators with respect and model appropriate sportsmanship at all times.
- Prohibited Conduct: Use of foul language, aggressive behavior, physical abuse, verbal abuse, or harassment is strictly prohibited.
- Disciplinary Action: Great Park Sports reserves the right to suspend or expel any individual from the league for violating the Code of Conduct. Suspension or expulsion will result in the forfeiture of all registration fees.
C. Intellectual Property and Media
- Website Content: All content on the
www.NFLFlagOC.org website is the property of Great Park Sports or its content suppliers.
- League Marks: You acknowledge that NFL FLAG and associated marks are trademarks of the NFL and are used under license.
- Photography/Media Release: By registering a player, the parent/guardian grants Great Park Sports permission to use photographs, videos, and other media captured during league events for promotional purposes, unless the guardian opted-out during the registration process.
D. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
- Assumption of Risk: The parent/guardian acknowledges and assumes all risks associated with participation in flag football activities, including but not limited to physical injury.
- Limit of Liability: Great Park Sports, its directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from participation in the league or use of the website.
E. Dispute Resolution and Chargebacks
- Mandatory Communication: The Parent/Guardian agrees that any request for a refund or cancellation must first be submitted directly to Great Park Sports in writing via email to [email protected], following the terms outlined in the Refund Policy.
- Prohibited Action: The Parent/Guardian agrees not to dispute or chargeback a credit card transaction for registration fees or other league payments if they have failed to submit a cancellation request to the organization within the timeframes specified in the Refund Policy.
- Chargeback Fees: In the event a chargeback is initiated by the Parent/Guardian and that chargeback is successfully disputed and reversed in favor of Great Park Sports, the Parent/Guardian agrees to be responsible for reimbursing Great Park Sports for any administrative fees, penalties, or fines incurred by the league as a result of the unwarranted chargeback.
2. Refund Policy
Our policy is based on the financial commitments the organization makes as the season approaches and begins. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]. The date the email is received determines the applicable refund window.

B. Exceptions
- Medical Withdrawal: If a player must withdraw after the official season start date due to a season-ending injury or illness, a full refund (minus the $50 administrative fee) may be considered. This consideration requires a doctor's note from a licensed physician, submitted with the request. Without a doctor's note, no refund will be issued after the season starts.
- Suspension/Expulsion: No refunds are issued for participants removed due to a Code of Conduct violation.
- Weather/Scheduling: No refunds are issued for weather-related cancellations or scheduling changes, as reasonable makeup dates are scheduled in advance.
C. Tournament Add-On Refund Policy
- Fully Refundable if the league is not accepted into the regional tournament or a team is not formed in the player’s division.
- Non-Refundable if the player is selected for a tournament team and later withdraws.
3. Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Great Park Sports collects, uses, and discloses information related to your use of our website and participation in our league.
A. Information We Collect
We collect information you directly provide, including:
- Registration Data: Parent/Guardian name, address, phone number, email address, and payment information.
- Player Data: Player name, date of birth, age, grade, and medical information (for safety purposes).
B. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process registration, administer the league (team formation, scheduling), ensure player safety, and communicate league updates.
C. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only with:
- Service Providers: Third-party providers (e.g., payment processors, website hosts) necessary to operate the league.
- NFL FLAG: The official NFL FLAG program as required for league operation and tournament participation.
- Safety Personnel: Emergency responders or medical personnel if necessary to protect health and safety.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal process.
