This group was formed to:

Encourage uniform interpretation and enforcement of Little League Baseball and Softball rules.

Promote the highest standards of sportsmanship, professionalism, and integrity in umpiring.

Support statewide consistency in umpire training, evaluation, and development.

Facilitate communication and collaboration among District Umpires-in-Chief (UICs).

Assist the State Umpire Committee in fulfilling its statewide responsibilities.

Beginning with the 2026 Tournament Season, any umpire interested in working a State Tournament will need to fill out an application and be chosen by the selection committee.  

This year, we will only be using the selection process for the 10-12 Baseball (D3 Shelton & Naugatuck, July 28 - August 1) and 10-12 Softball (D10 Waterford, July 6-10) Tournaments. Please use the link below to apply for either of these tournaments. The other levels will be assigned to Districts like in the past. 

Deadline to submit application is May 1, 2026
