2026 Football Season
East Lake Eagles Youth Football & Cheer is proud to announce our move to FYD Pop Warner, which will provide new opportunities for our athletes to compete, grow, and soar to new heights! This season, we will be age-based, aligning with the national standard followed by 75-80% of youth football programs.
AGE-BASED: Tackle Football Divisions - A child's age on July 15 is their age for the season.
Why Pop Warner?
Pop Warner places a strong emphasis on safety and player development. Some key changes include:
✅ Limited Contact in Practices – Contact is reduced to 25% of practice time to prioritize player safety.
✅ No Kickoffs for Younger Divisions – Reducing high-impact plays for our youngest athletes.
✅ Strict Concussion Protocols – Any player suspected of a head injury must receive medical clearance from a concussion specialist before returning to play.
What to Expect This Season
🏆 6U Division: Now Competitive! A conference champion will be crowned!
🏆 All Other Levels: Competitive teams with the chance to advance to:
- Conference Playoffs
- Regional Championships
- Pop Warner National Championships
📅 Key Dates & Season Schedule
- Football & Cheer Season Begins: July 15, 2026
- Games: Every Saturday against other FYD Pop Warner teams
- Practices: 3-4 nights per week
- Playoff Season: All Competitive Teams must be available the week of Thanksgiving for Regional Playoffs and possibly the first week of December for the Pop Warner National Championships.

Our coaching staff is trained and certified through Pop Warner and USA Football, ensuring that player safety, development, and academic success remain top priorities. We believe in building champions on and off the field while keeping the game fun and competitive!
We've celebrated Conference Championships and Regional Titles, and now we're setting our sights on bringing home our first National Championship!
