What is expected?
Thank you for volunteering! As Team Mom, your role is to help with team communication and organization so the Manager and Coaches can focus on the players and the game. Remember, you can always ask other parents to help.
Communication
Introduce yourself to the team families and keep them informed about practices, games, and league events such as Opening Day, Picture Day, and special activities.
Uniforms
Managers will distribute team jerseys and hats. Be sure families know what pants, socks, and belts are required. Remind parents to attach the Little League patch to their player's jersey if needed.
Volunteer Schedule
Coordinate volunteers for game-day duties, including:
- Scorekeeper
- Pitch Counter
- Field Maintenance
- Snack Shack (if applicable)
Send reminders before games to help ensure all positions are covered.
Snacks (Optional)
Create a snack schedule if your team would like to provide after-game snacks. Be mindful of any food allergies.
Picture Day
Share your team's scheduled picture time and any important information with families.
Team Parties
Help organize team gatherings or an end-of-season celebration. Keep it simple and fun.
Coach & Manager Appreciation
A signed card from the team is always appreciated. If families would like to contribute toward a gift, you can help coordinate it.
Fan Wear & Team Gifts (Optional)
If your team wants to order fan wear, trophies, or team gifts, you can help organize orders and collect contributions.
Most importantly, have fun and help create a positive experience for our players and families!
