Edgewood Girls Softball League January Meeting MInutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:05, accepted by Juan, seconded by Paula.

The secretary’s report was read by Coleen, accepted by Chris, seconded by Shariah.

The treasurer’s report was read by Jenn, accepted by Paula, seconded by Candy.

President’s Business: 

The two openings for head coaches are now filled.

Tryouts: change from Sunday to Saturday, March 7th.

Registration is now open on line, in person will be at PVMS on 1/25 and 2/1.

All coaches, reach out to your players to register, and remind your staff to get their background checks.

Community Outreach: EGSL has been involved with several support to our community, we donated a wreath to Shriner’s, PVMS Veterans day 5K, CCAP, if anyone has another local organization in need of our support, please bring it to a board member’s attention.

50th Anniversary- an online store will be available to purchase EGSL gear, Alumni game 5/17,socks to be available to players this year.

New Business:

Umpires- is a new organization needed this year? Many troubles last season.

Field Committee- Chris will be heading this committee, if anyone has an interest in helping out, please step forward

Fast pitch clinic- once again this will be offered this summer with the possibility of playing fall ball if interest is there.

Fundraising- We will be doing the the calendar again this spring, any donations are welcome.

Three new members were voted in tonight, welcome.
