Cricket in FBISD Schools

Over the summer, SLYCC Coaches worked with Fort Bend Independent School District's PE Teachers & Athletic Coaches to teach them the nuances of Cricket.

Besides explaining the basics, the group of teachers go to play short cricket games with tennis balls in the basketball arena at Thurgood Marshall HighSchool. Coach Peter Wellings of Cricket Coaching Americas was also at hand to talk more about the game.

Practices were carried out on 3 days - one each in June, July & August.

For the school year starting August 2018, all schools in Fort Bend ISD will be equipped with basic cricket equipment and SLYCC Coaches will be available resources to PE Teachers to conduct Cricket as a PE Activity in Elementary, Middle and Highschools.
