About Us

The objective of our organization is to promote sportsmanship, self-esteem, dedication and courage and to provide an opportunity to experience cheerleading as a sport and spirit activity. Our Advisory Board consists of Washington Township parents and coaches with one common goal, to provide a fun and safe environment for all who participate.

The WTYCA is an organization design to inspire and teach children ages 5 through 15 cheerleading. Registration is open to participants in Kindergarten through 8th grade only.  The cheerleaders with learn routines for a Hello Cheer and Half-time cheer. Each girl is assigned to squad based on the amount of sign ups received in the given year. The squads will be filled oldest to youngest for each squad. The month of August will be devoted to sideline cheers and the individual routines. Every cheerleader has the opportunity to sign up for recreational competitions. Competition teams practice September-November twice a week. 

Board Meetings are held the second Monday of each month (Exception: August) in the Municipal Building cafeteria at 7pm.
