About Us

We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 youth sports organization specializing in Baseball and Softball for kids 4-12 years of age. We are proudly based in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa and have been serving our local and surrounding communities of young athletes since 1956. In 2023, MDLL partnered Little League International and became chartered for the first time in over 60 years! Our program strives for excellence in Safety, Athletic development, Team Building, Sports Education, and Fundamentals just to name a few. 

Sports are an exception outlet that offers a wide range of benefits to athletes of all ages. Introducing Baseball and/or Softball at an early age can provide:
1) A substantial source of physical activity, helping them say fit and healthy. 
2) Provides an opportunity to build focus and strengthen attention span.
3) Improves their physics and math skills! 
4) Builds your child's social skills and the ability to work with others.
6) Challenges their perceived limitations and encourages drive to conquer their fears. 
7) Promotes Healthy Family interaction.
8) Sportsmanship! It's not always about winning or losing, but providing the mentality to learn from mistakes, keep believing in yourself, and striving for your goal regardless of the odds!
