The Hartford Youth Commission (HYC) is responsible for the coordination of youth programming within the Town of Hartford and the Hartford Central School District for children ages 4-12 who reside in the Town of Hartford, NY or who attend Hartford Central School.

The mission of the HYC is to provide these children with opportunities to participate in various team sports, events and activities. The Commission ensures that the youth are served with the best possible youth development and delinquency prevention programs.
 
The HYC also provides volunteer opportunities for youth who have aged out of the programs and all other community members. 

Hartford Youth Commission members are appointed by the Hartford Town Board and serve voluntarily. The Commission ensures that the youth are served with the best possible youth development and delinquency prevention programs.

HYC monthly meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 7pm at the Hartford Town building on Main Street (165 Hartford Main Street).
