The objective of WTYCA is to promote sportsmanship, self-esteem, dedication, and courage while giving athletes the opportunity to experience cheerleading as both a sport and a spirit activity. Our Advisory Board is made up of Washington Township parents and coaches who share one goal: providing a fun and safe environment for all participants.
WTYCA inspires and teaches children ages 5–15 the fundamentals of cheerleading. Registration is open for Kindergarten through 8th grade. Cheerleaders will learn sideline cheers, a Hello Cheer, and a halftime routine. Squads are assigned each year based on registration numbers and ages.
Our football season includes practices three times a week in August and games on Saturdays or Sundays from September through late November.
Cheerleaders may also participate in recreational competition teams. The competition season runs August–December and January–May, with practices twice a week and 3–5 competitions per season.
